Frequently Asked.
What our clients want to know:
Working with us
Yes. QuickBooks Online is the accounting platform around which our recurring bookkeeping practice is built.
We begin with kickoff, access and document collection, followed by a Financial Foundation Review of the existing accounting environment. From there we identify any required changes, prepare for go-live and complete the first Archer Allen month-end close.
That's common. We identify historical issues during onboarding and separate material cleanup from recurring monthly bookkeeping so everyone understands where historical responsibility ends and recurring service begins.
Client requests are organized through your Archer Allen workspace with clear context, responsibilities and deadlines.
Each engagement has an agreed close calendar. Timing depends in part on receiving complete client information by the agreed deadlines.
Our default philosophy is that client management retains final authority over the movement of funds. Where payment support is in scope, preparation and approval responsibilities are deliberately separated.
Scope is defined for each engagement, but recurring work may include transaction accounting, bank and credit-card reconciliation, balance-sheet review, payroll accounting, month-end close, financial statements and related accounting support.
Our recurring bookkeeping engagement is distinct from income-tax preparation unless tax services are specifically included. We can coordinate accounting information and year-end reporting with your tax professional.
Bookkeeping establishes what happened and creates reliable financial information. CFO advisory uses that information to evaluate what may happen next—through forecasting, cash planning, analysis and management decision support.
Not necessarily. Many businesses need stronger bookkeeping before they need a CFO. We can start with the accounting foundation and expand when the business has a genuine planning or decision-support need.
Pricing reflects the actual scope and complexity of the engagement. We evaluate the accounting environment first and then propose a recurring fee based on the work required.
Absolutely. Your tax professional and your recurring accounting function should not operate in separate universes. We can coordinate year-end information, adjustments and accounting questions with them as appropriate.
